Make sure you've read:
http://swish-e.org/docs/swish-faq.html#how_is_ranking_calculated_
You might try RankScheme 1 to see if that helps at all. That's a cheap
way to test (no re-indexing required if you already have
IgnoreTotalWordCountWhenRanking set to 'no').
