That's an unexpected error.  There was some bit of code that returned
unsuccessful, but failed to set  the "lasterror" number.

I wonder if you have a library mis-match.  Did you have swish on this
machine before?

Can you run swish under gdb?  Set a break point at SwishAbortLastError
and then do a back trace to see what's calling SwishAbortLastError.

By the way, the daily builds of swish on the swish-e.org website are
done on Solaris 5.8.

    $ uname -a
    SunOS sunsite3 5.8 Generic_117350-22 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880
