Doesn't look like it's able to compile much. Something looks quite
broken. Can you compile and link basic programs?
conftest.c:12:19: stdio.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:13:23: sys/types.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:14:22: sys/stat.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:17: error: syntax error before '*' token
Seems like there was some issue with gcc on some version of Redhat,
but I might be making that up.
Anyway, try building a few test programs. If those work, try the
programs that configure is trying and are failing and see if you get
the same results.
