I've incorporated the suggestions and refined my draft of a filter for 
OpenDocument formatted files.

Two sample documents are available in the directory:

The second try uses Archive::Zip to make the filter more cross platform.
swish-test indicates that it works, but swish is not calling any of the 
filters for some reason when I try that ...
