catdoc.exe causes application errors in log - windows 2003 - dirtree.pl

I'm using Dirtree.pl to index a network folder on my windows 2003 box.
Everything is going well, except I happened to check the event viewer
and my application error log is full of errors generated by 2 of the
filtering programs, catdoc.exe and unrtf.exe (unrtf is not part of the
windows binaries for swish-e - I installed it myself). These entries
occur when I use Dirtree.pl to create an output file.

Entries look like this:

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. It doesn't seem to affect
the indexing operations, but I would like to know the best way to
prevent this from happening. Ideally, I'd like to correct that which
raises the errors, but at least if I had a way of telling
Dirtree.pl/catdoc.exe/unrtf.exe not to log them to the application log,
it wouldn't let the log fill up so quickly.

Thanks,
Jim
