I just tried the daily snapshot swish-e-2.5.4-2005-06-14:

The daily snapshot doesn't dump core. It just doesn't accept the index
file:

Is this some version incompatibility or is just the index wrecked and
the daily index checks that while 2.4.2 doesn't?
