Hi Maria,

If you're interrested, take a look at my project, swishd. 
(swishd.sourceforge.net)

It takes the power of swish and allows you to cluster it to allow 
searching of very large indexes. So far I have a system where I can 
search around 15 million docs that grows everyday.
