libxml2 may be busy trying to find a HTML title in the eps file.  You
may want to try indexing non-HTML files as plain text.  Try this in your
configuration file:

IndexContents TXT* .jpg .gif .jpeg .png .tif .bmp .eps

If that doesn't help can you simplify your config further?  Does it hang
on that one file or does it hang after a certain point.  Are you running
low on RAM?
