Sorry swish-e Gurus that I dared to speak:)

I would use this

ReplaceRules regex !^.*\/www\/!http:\/\/our_intranet\/!i

it would replace the portion of your /var/www path with
"http://our_intranet/"
you may also want to look at prependpath directive in swish.cgi
