Has there been any work on a PHP interface? PHP works very well with a MYSQL
database, but MYSQL's full-text search engine is very slow and not very
good. Currently I have made a swish-e database from the MYSQL database and
"include" the cgi file in my php pages. I have the CGI working with the PERL
API & Speedycgi. It suits my purposes, but it would be really cool to be
able to query the database directly from PHP.
