Hi there --
I have made some progress. The error message that I mentioned in my earlier
e-mail does not appear, but now when I enter in a word to search for, the
message
I am getting now is "No results" even though I know the word is in the
docuements.

Trust error messages.
Running CGI: put index.swish-e in the same directory as swish.cgi, or...
Running IIS: put full path to index file in config
Running mod_perl: you have to specify the full path unless ServerRoot
happens to be where the index file is -- better specify the full path.
