Ah, yes, that doesn't seem to work either.  It compiles but I got some
errors that make me think makemaker isn't working right.  Perhaps my
PERL installation is the problem.  I'm using Microsoft's PERL bundled
with SFU (MS's Unix add-on for Windows).  I'll install a current
ActivePERL tonight and try again.
