Hi Adam,

I just tried on Windows ME and it doesn't work there, either.  Filters,
which also use popen(), also don't work.  Windows tries to access the A:
drive for some reason.

It eludes me why something as common as popen() fails to work, and why it
works on my old Win 98, but newer ME and SE don't work.

Dave, can you check on Win2K?

I'm trying really hard not to express my feelings about Windows.
