We also have intensive use of shtml.
So will not be forgoten - but you cannot enumerate all possible extension.

In fact I configured apache to treat .htm als shtml (because nearly
all our pages are using SSI).

I see lots of talk about html extensions and even *.html   Please do not
forget  .shtml extensions.

When our site was originally designed years ago   .shtml was used often.
Now we have parsing on for *.htm*
