Without going into the files themselves, about the only way to do this
would be to insert a META tag in your file that has the first 100 chars,
and then use the Document Properties feature, which is documented at:

http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/SWISH-E/Manual/documentproperties.html

to get them as part of the search result.
