Hmmm, I thought the EOL thing was fixed by Mark or someone long ago.  Have
you tried my NT or Linux executables at:
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/1652/software.html

They are straight compiles of 1.3.1 from the Jan 20 code.  Exactly the same
source was used for both.  That would give you a jump start to test whether
or not they are compatible.  I've never really tried reading or writing
indices between operating systems.  And, I don't have a Linux machine in one
piece to test it out, yet another junk Seagate disk drive failed.
